AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 1 -- The University of Texas System issued the following statement by Chancellor James B. Milliken on the shooting in the Permian Basin:
"The Permian Basin communities of Midland and Odessa are our communities. We share their heartbreak and shock, and we will stand by them in this time of recovery and healing.
