WASHINGTON, Aug. 30 -- Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wyoming, issued the following statements with Sen. Mike Enzi, R-Wyoming, and Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyoming, regarding the Environmental Protection Agency's proposed updates to the Obama-era methane standards for the oil and natural gas industry:

The proposal, under the Clean Air Act's New Source Performance Standards, would remove regulatory duplication while maintaining health and environmental regulations on appropriate oil and gas sources . . .
