WASHINGTON, Aug. 28 -- Rep. Rosa L. DeLauro, D-Connecticut, issued the following statement on the 33rd anniversary of gun safety legislation banning armor-piercing ammunition being signed into law:
"Thirty-three years ago today, President Reagan signed bipartisan legislation that outlawed armor-piercing ammunition.
"That moment may be a distant memory now for many, but it should not be. We must use it as a reminder of how we can restore a sense of shared conce . . .
