RALEIGH, North Carolina, Aug. 28 -- Gov. Roy Cooper, D-North Carolina, issued the following statement after Sen. Thom Tillis, R-North Carolina, and Republican legislative leaders' disaster recovery press conference:
"North Carolina has gotten $2.8 billion on the ground in state and federal money to recover from Hurricanes Matthew and Florence. The CDBG-DR funds allocated after Hurricane Matthew now stands at $93 million either spent or committed.
