PIERRE, South Dakota, Aug. 27 -- The South Dakota Department of Revenue issued the following news release:
The Department of Revenue's tax collections at the 2019 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally are currently at $1,269,549.
The revenue sum from temporary vendors in the Black Hills is a 1 percent decrease compared to 2018. The state sales tax accounted for the majority of the collections with $733,312. At this time last year, the department collected $742,181 in state sales tax . . .
