AUSTIN, Texas, Aug. 26 -- Gov. Greg Abbott, R-Texas, issued the following news release:
Governor Greg Abbott today announced his intention to appoint Jane Bland to the Texas Supreme Court upon Justice Jeff Brown's formal resignation. This is Governor Abbott's third appointment to the Texas Supreme Court.
