WASHINGTON, Aug. 21 -- The Humane Society of the United States issued the following news release:

The Pima County Sheriff's Department and the Humane Society of the United States are hosting training to help law enforcement officers investigate animal abuse and prevent violent crimes on August 23 in Tucson, Arizona.
