WASHINGTON, Aug. 21 -- Rep. Mikie Sherrill, D-New Jersey, issued the following statement regarding the Trump administration regulation that would terminate the Flores settlement agreement, a court ruling that prevents the government from detaining immigrant children for more than 20 days:
"As a parent, I am horrified by the administration's decision to pursue indefinite detention of immigrant children.
