WASHINGTON, Aug. 20 -- Rep. Nita Lowey, D-New York, issued the following news release:
Congresswoman Nita Lowey (D-NY17/Rockland-Westchester), Chairwoman of the House Appropriations Committee, today announced that the federal Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has agreed to her request for a public meeting on decommissioning this fall in the community surrounding Indian Point Energy Center.
