OLYMPIA, Washington, Aug. 20 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Statistics Service - Northwest Regional Field Office issued the following news release:
Hazelnut production in Oregon is forecast to be 49,000 tons, according to the objective yield survey conducted by the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service, Oregon Field Office. If realized, this would be a 4 percent decrease from last year's record high hazelnut crop of 51,000 tons.
