NEW YORK, Aug. 18 -- Rep. Carolyn Maloney, D-New York, issued the following news release:
Today, Congresswoman Carolyn B. Maloney (NY-12) joined elected officials, community leaders, business owners, and residents from East 10th Street to call on the New York City Department of Sanitation to remove the garbage trucks that occupy half of the parking on the block. The trucks emit a terrible smell that lingers along the street and negatively impacts the residences and five restaurants . . .
