WASHINGTON, Aug. 16 -- Sens. James M. Inhofe, R-Oklahoma, chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, and John Cornyn, R-Texas, issued the following joint statement on the announcement by the State Department that the U.S. will sell 66 F-16 Block 70/72 aircraft to Taiwan:
