WHITE PLAINS, New York, Aug. 15 -- Rep. Nita Lowey, D-New York, chairwoman of the House Appropriations committee and its subcommittee on Foreign Operations, issued the following statement on the decision by the Israeli government to ban Reps. Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib from visiting the country on an upcoming official trip:
