NEW YORK, Aug. 15 -- The Surveillance Technology Oversight Project issued the following news release:
Today, the Surveillance Technology Oversight Project (S.T.O.P.), a New York-based privacy group, today welcomed the creation of a domestic terrorism task force to respond to the recent series of high-profile mass shootings. The task force would develop proposals to prevent and protect against mass shootings, particularly those perpetrated by white supremacist and white power groups. . . .
