WASHINGTON, Aug. 26 -- The Credit Union National Association will host an event entitled "CUNA Current Expected Credit Loss School" at the Mission Palms, Tempe, Arizona, on Sept. 5-6:
The FASB's new Current Expected Credit Loss (CECL) standard goes into effect in 2021. Under this new standard credit unions will be required to reserve for future losses over the life of a loan at the time of origination.
