EUGENE, Oregon, Aug. 7 -- The Center for Biological Diversity issued the following news release:

An Oregon judge has issued a decision concluding the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission violated state law in denying a petition filed by five conservation groups demanding the commission uplist the murrelet from threatened to endangered under the Oregon Endangered Species Act.

Lane County Circuit Court Judge Lauren Holland concluded the Fish and Wildlife Commission illegal . . .
