HARTFORD, Connecticut, Aug. 6 -- Rep. John B. Larson, D-Connecticut, issued the following statement after the House passed the Bipartisan Background Checks Act (H.R. 8):
"160 days ago, on February 27th, the House passed HR 8, the Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2019, which expands background checks and closes the gun show loop hole.
"Since then, there have been mass shootings, homicides in our communities, and accidental shootings, yet the Senate Republica . . .
