WASHINGTON, Aug. 3 -- Rep. Marc Veasey, D-Texas, issued the following statement on the mass shooting at the Cielo Vista Mall in El Paso, Texas:
"I am devastated by the mass shooting in my home state of Texas that has left at least 20 people dead and injured 26 more. My heart goes out to the victims and their families that were impacted by this senseless act of violence.
"I am grateful for the heroic first responders that risked their lives to ensure the safety . . .
