NEW YORK, Aug. 4 -- Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-New York, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, issued the following statement after the mass shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio:
"I am deeply saddened by the most recent mass shootings - coming less than 24 hours apart - and I wish to express my heartfelt condolences to the victims and their families in El Paso and Dayton. I would also like to thank the first responders - the police officers, emergency medical personne . . .
