ALBANY, New York, Aug. 4 -- Gov. Andrew Cuomo, D-New York, issued the following statement on the shootings in Dayton, Ohio, and El Paso, Texas:
"Our country is under attack from within, and continuing to ignore what is happening around us will only lead to more bloodshed and more tragedy -- all of it preventable."
"On behalf of all New Yorkers, I'm sorry you live in a country with a Federal Government that allows this to happen and does nothing."
