ALBANY, New York, Aug. 1 -- The New York State Department of Financial Services issued the following statement by Superintendent Linda A. Lacewell regarding UniCredit incident in the Capital One data breach:
"Yesterday, UniCredit S.p.A., a New York State-regulated entity, notified the Department of Financial Services (DFS) of the possible loss of consumer data related to the Capital One data breach.
"Our top priority is protecting New York consumers.
