ALBANY, New York, July 30 -- The New York State Department of Financial Services issued the following statement by Superintendent Linda A. Lacewell on the Capital One data breach:
"The Department of Financial Services has been following the ongoing developments surrounding the data breach at Capital One, which is regulated by the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. The data breach exposed the personally identifiable information of 100 million people.
