ALBANY, Georgia, July 23 -- Albany State University issued the following statement by President Marion Ross Fedrick on the education bills:
Rep. Calvin Smyre (D-Columbus), Dean of the Georgia House, expressed strong opposition to Senate Bills 273 and 278 in a recent letter to University System of Georgia Chancellor Steve Wrigley.
