FINDLAY, Ohio, July 29 -- Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. issued the following news release:

Cooper Tire & Rubber Company (NYSE: CTB) today reported second quarter 2019 net income of $9 million, or diluted earnings per share of $0.18, compared with $15 million, or $0.30 per share, last year.

Second Quarter Highlights

* Net sales decreased 2.8 percent to $679 million.

* Unit volume decreased 4.9 percent compared to the second quarter of 2018.
