NASHVILLE, Tennessee, July 26 -- The American Farm Bureau Federation issued the following statement by President Zippy Duvall on the Family Farmer Relief Act:
"America's farmers and ranchers applauds House passage of the Family Farmer Relief Act. After several consecutive years of a trying farm economy, updating Chapter 12 bankruptcy eligibility to the current scale and credit needs of U.S. agriculture is a necessity. This action will ultimately help family farmers and ranchers . . .
