WASHINGTON, July 25 -- Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, member of the House Judiciary, Homeland Security and Budget Committees, issued the following statement after House passage of the Emancipation National Historic Trail Act (H.R. 434):
"I applaud passage by the House of Representatives of H.R. 434, the "Emancipation National Historic Trail Act." When passed by the Senate and enacted into law, it will result in the second trail in the United States that chronicles . . .
