WASHINGTON, July 25 -- Rep. Joseph Morelle, D-New York, issued the following statement regarding President Trump's proposal to cut Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits:

"President Trump's decision to end Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits for three million people demonstrates an utter disregard for the needs of everyday Americans.

"Local providers estimate this action could impact upwards of 10,000 children, seniors, and fa . . .
