WASHINGTON, July 23 -- Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, issued the following statement opposing the budget deal reached by the Trump administration and congressional leadership:
"The budget deal reached by administration negotiators and congressional leadership is yet another missed opportunity to rein in excessive government spending.
