NEW YORK, July 22 -- New York Attorney General Letitia James issued the following statement on the death of Manhattan ex-District Attorney Robert Morgenthau:
"I am saddened to hear about the passing of former Manhattan District Attorney Robert Morgenthau, a man who dedicated his career to public service.
"Mr. Morgenthau served New York City for decades, taking on corporate greed, organized crime, and violence, all in the name of creating a safer and more just . . .
