Rep. Huizenga Issues Statement on Legislation to Raise Federal Minimum Wage

WASHINGTON, July 18 -- Rep. Bill Huizenga, R-Michigan, issued the following statement:

Today, Congressman Bill Huizenga (MI-02) voted against legislation to raise the federal minimum wage that the Congressional Budget Office said could eliminate as many as 3,700,000 jobs.

"Our economy is booming, wages are rising, and last month alone 224,000 jobs were created.
