WASHINGTON, July 18 -- Rep. Pete Olson, R-Texas, issued the following news release:

Rep. Pete Olson (TX-22) today voted to protect small businesses and job creation by opposing the mandatory $15 minimum wage increase. Studies have determined that increasing the minimum wage to $15 nationwide without allowing states to consider their own local economics would hit small businesses and mean a loss of up to 269,000 jobs in Texas alone.
