WASHINGTON, July 18 -- Rep. Peter DeFazio, D-Oregon, issued the following statement on a resolution (H.Res. 498) to impeach President Trump:
"President Trump's recent remarks about four duly-elected Members of Congress were, without a doubt, racist and xenophobic. He has moved from tropes and dog-whistles to full-throated racist attacks, and his words and actions are unacceptable.
