WASHINGTON, July 16 -- Rep. Chris Smith, R-New Jersey, issued the following statement on President Trump's tweets:
"Fundamental disagreement on public policy is a sign of a robust and healthy democracy. Great care, however, must always be taken to ensure that policy differences be expressed by all sides with the utmost respect for those with an opposing view.
"Resolving the unprecedented number of challenges both foreign and domestic, requires genuine goodwill . . .
