WASHINGTON, July 17 -- Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Oregon, ranking Democratic member of the Senate Finance Committee, issued the following statement on Senate passage of tax treaties with Spain, Switzerland, Japan and Luxembourg:
"Senate approval of tax treaties with Spain, Switzerland, Japan and Luxembourg is welcome and long overdue.
"These treaties will promote trade with our allies, attract foreign investment and combat tax fraud by improving information sharing.
