WASHINGTON, July 17 -- Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, member of the House Judiciary, Homeland Security and Budget Committees, issued the following statement on the death of ex-Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens:
"I mourn the passing of John Paul Stevens, a former Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court, whom we lost earlier this evening. He was 99.
