WASHINGTON, July 17 -- The Nuclear Regulatory Commission issued the following event notification (No. 54168) involving the Fermi power reactor in Michigan:
OFFSITE NOTIFICATION DUE TO SEWAGE SPILL ON SITE
"At 1445 EDT, on 7/16/2019, during routine maintenance activities on the sanitary sewage system, a leak from an overflow line to a parking lot was discovered. The total amount leaked is estimated to be 20 gallons. Approximately 2 gallons reached gravel in an excav . . .
