WASHINGTON, July 16 -- Rep. Paul Mitchell, R-Michigan, issued the following statement on a resolution (H.Res. 489) condemning President Trump's comments directed at members of Congress:
"I made my position on President Trump's comments abundantly clear yesterday when I responded to his tweets, '@RealDonaldTrump, we must be better than comments like these. I share the political frustrations with some members of the other party, but these comments are beneath leaders.'
