NEW YORK, July 16 -- The NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund issued the following statement by President and Director-Counsel Sherrilyn Ifill:
Today, the U.S. Department of Justice refused to hold Officer Daniel Pantaleo responsible for his role in the July 2014 choking death of Eric Garner.
