WASHINGTON, July 12 -- Rep. David Cicilline, D-Rhode Island, chairman of the Democratic Policy and Communications Committee, issued the following statement on Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta's resignation:
"Secretary Acosta never should have been nominated or confirmed in the first place.
"Sadly, this is what we've come to expect under the most corrupt administration in our history, and a Republican Senate that refuses to stand up to President Trump.
