BRONX, New York, July 10 -- Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. issued the following testimony on the proposed amendments to the Housing and Community Development Act of 1980:
"I am writing to state my strong opposition to this proposed rule. Evicting families living in public housing solely because some members of the household are undocumented is unnecessarily cruel, would cost the federal government millions of dollars and would not make a dent in the affordable housing c . . .
