Rep. Gonzalez Asks President Trump for Federal Disaster Declaration Following Rio Grande Valley Flooding

WASHINGTON, July 10 -- Rep. Vicente Gonzalez, D-Texas, issued the following news release:

Today, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) urged President Trump to declare the Rio Grande Valley a federal disaster area in response to severe flooding and rain in recent weeks. South Texas Congressmen Henry Cuellar (TX-28) and Filemon Vela (TX-34) and U.S. Senators John Cornyn and Ted Cruz (R-TX) also asked the president to support the declaration.
