DETROIT, Michigan, July 9 -- The Pacific Legal Foundation issued the following news release:
A lawsuit filed today challenges Michigan's predatory home equity theft policy, which allows counties to take property to settle back taxes, sell it, and pocket all of the proceeds from the sale -- in amounts that are often many times larger than the initial debts.
