NEW YORK, July 5 -- New York Attorney General Letitia James issued the following statement on the news reports that President Trump is considering an executive order to add a citizenship question to the 2020 decennial census:
"We will not sit idly by and allow the President to subvert the law.
"As we celebrate Independence Day, all of us, including the President, should be reminded that we live in a democracy, not a dictatorship, and must follow the law, eve . . .
