WASHINGTON, July 1 -- Rep. Henry Cuellar, D-Texas, issued the following statement after the Supreme Court handed down an opinion in Department of Commerce vs. New York, which deals with the constitutionality of a citizen question on the 2020 U.S. Census:
"I applaud the Supreme Court's decision today to prohibit inclusion of the citizenship question in the 2020 U.S. Census, which will only suppress participation.
