Health Department Teams Up With Brooklyn Bar and Nightclub Owners to Prevent Overdose

NEW YORK, June 27 -- The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene issued the following news release:

- The City's fentanyl outreach campaign will appear on coasters and posters in North Brooklyn nightlife venues, and the Health Department will offer naloxone training for staff

- Fentanyl was detected in 39 percent of cocaine-involved overdose deaths without heroin in 2017, up from 11 percent in 2015
