NEW YORK, June 20 -- The Drug Policy Alliance issued the following statement by Director of National Affairs Michael Collins on the passage of the Blumenauer-Norton-McClintock amendment to stop the Department of Justice from intervening in states that have legalized marijuana:
"The end of marijuana prohibition has never been closer. When Drug Policy Alliance and a small band of allies first worked on this amendment in 2015, we were told that we didn't stand a chance.
