Sens. Udall, Inhofe Introduce Legislation Designating Route 66 as a National Historic Trail

WASHINGTON, Nov. 27 -- The office of Sen. Tom Udall, D-New Mexico, issued the following news release:

U.S. Senators Tom Udall (D-N.M.) and Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) introduced S. 3609, The Route 66 National Historic Trail Designation Act, which would amend the National Trails System Act to designate Route 66 as a National Historic Trail, administered by the National Park Service (NPS). In June of this year, the House of Representatives voted unanimously to pass the bipartisan legislation . . .
