BANGOR, Maine, Oct. 15 -- The U.S. Attorney for the District of Maine, Halsey B. Frank, issued the following news release:
United States Attorney Halsey B. Frank announced that Jamie Akerson, 57, of Newport, Maine, was sentenced today in U.S. District Court by Senior Judge John A. Woodcock, Jr. to 160 months in prison and five years of supervised release for conspiring to distribute more than a kilogram of heroin. The defendant pled guilty on April 14, 2017.
