WASHINGTON, Sept. 17 -- Sen. John Thune, R-South Dakota, chairman of the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee, issued the following statement after the Senate passed the Opioid Crisis Response Act (H.R. 6) on a 99-1 vote, which includes provisions addressing a national drug and health crisis including measures approved by the Commerce Committee:
