Ohio Environmental Council Issues Statement on Farm Bill

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Sept. 5 -- The Ohio Environmental Council issued the following statement by Water Resources Director Peter Bucher:
"This farm bill will play a large role in helping states like Ohio increase agricultural conservation and decrease excess nutrients from entering our waterways.
"These programs remove financial barriers to implementing conservation and reducing nutrient runoff.
"The Senate farm bill received nearly an 8-to-1 ratio . . .
